How to be a Friend |
Our neighbor, Aiden Layer, is ten and has his own blog. He recently posted a list written by another neighbor (when you live in a townhouse you have lots of neighbors!) Anna, who is also ten. It really holds true for any age. (I would give the link to Aiden's blog, but he has removed it.) And here's what she wrote:
How to be a friend by Anna Wymer
#1 Always be the most fun you can be.
#2 Never be the “boss” of your friends.
#3 Be your self.
#4 Be respectful to others.
#5 Offer to play with them some time.
#6 Be nice and truthful.
#7 Be playful and fun.
#8 Do SOME things that they want to do.
#9 Help your friends with their problems.
#10 Comfort them.Labels: kids |

If only every friend followed those simple steps... Isn't it amazing how easily children see through to the basic truths of things? By the way, I absolutely loved the link to the Christmas cards in one of your previous posts! I laughed until tears came to my eyes when I read the "Little Drummer Boy" card. Hilarious!
